About Luang Namtha
Luang Namtha sits in northern Laos, gateway to Nam Ha National Protected Area. The region is home to multiple ethnic minority groups, Akha, Lisu, Hmong, maintaining traditional ways. Multi-day jungle treks lead to minority villages for authentic cultural encounters. The jungle itself teems with birds and wildlife. This is off-the-beaten-path Laos, where mass tourism hasn't yet arrived. Treks are challenging but rewarding.
